VeiligWijdemeren enters testing phase

The community safety platform for Wijdemeren residents is now in active testing, with real feedback shaping the final product.

VeiligWijdemeren, the independent community safety platform built for residents of the Wijdemeren municipality, has entered its active testing phase.

The platform allows residents to share safety observations anonymously — without creating an account or providing any personal information. Reports are reviewed by a small moderation team before being shared on the public map.

The testing phase involves a group of local residents across several neighbourhoods. Their feedback is being used to refine the reporting flow, improve the community information sections and address usability issues before the full launch.

"The most important thing at this stage is making sure the platform genuinely works for the people it is built for," said Jazz Belarbi. "Not just technically, but in terms of what information is useful and what makes people feel confident enough to actually use it."

VeiligWijdemeren is free to use and will remain free. The platform does not collect personal data and does not require registration.
